"I find inspiration in microscopic images of single-cell organisms as well as plant and animal life. More than 20 years ago, I created pieces based on pollen slides prepared by my grandfather, botanist Dr. Wendell Bragonier.

By taking and collecting images by powerful electron microscopes, I find forms and archetypal shapes that I then interpret through sculpture. I create engineered studies that allow me to translate the works for large-scale projects. Through metallurgy, machining, fabrication, and casting, I bring forth the final realization."
